Infant Program

Infant Care (3-12 months and 13-18 months)

At Ivy Primary Prep, we divide our infants into two groups to better tailor activities to their developmental stages. Our daily schedule includes age-appropriate activities such as tummy time, music and movement, and sensory play, alongside scheduled feeding, rest, and nap times. Weather permitting, infants enjoy morning and evening strolls. Sign language is also incorporated into our infant curriculum.

Our Infant Room is intentionally designed with simplicity, safety, and sensory-appropriate play at its core. The space is organized with non-toxic, sustainable materials that support early growth, exploration, and development. We aim to create a calm, nurturing, and engaging environment where our infants feel secure and supported.

One of the first things you’ll notice is our bootie- or sock-only policy, ensuring a clean, shoe-free space for babies as they begin to crawl, scoot, and explore. The classroom is thoughtfully kept free of clutter, allowing infants to move comfortably and interact naturally with their environment.

To give parents peace of mind, we also offer live camera access, allowing families to check in on their little one remotely throughout the day and feel connected to their child’s routine and milestones.

At Ivy Primary Prep we want to foster your child’s innate desire to learn by keeping their curious minds engaged. Our infant program’s daily schedule is created with infant developmental milestones in mind. Apart from scheduled feeding time, rest time and nap time, our daily schedule includes age-appropriate activities such as tummy time, music and movement and other sensory activities. Weather permitting, our infants will also go out for a morning and evening stroll in our buggies.

Our Infant classroom is thoughtfully capped at 9 infants with a 3:1 infant-to-teacher ratio, going above state requirements to provide exceptional care and attention. This intimate setting allows our teachers to truly connect with each child, supporting individualized feeding, sleep, and developmental routines. With fewer infants per teacher, our team has the time to engage in meaningful one-on-one interactions—whether it’s nurturing early communication, supporting motor development, or simply offering comfort and connection throughout the day. This structure ensures a calm, predictable, and responsive environment where our infants feel secure, supported, and deeply cared for.
