Infant Program

Infant Care (3-12 months and 13-18 months)

At Ivy Primary Prep, we divide our infants into two groups to better tailor activities to their developmental stages. Our daily schedule includes age-appropriate activities such as tummy time, music and movement, and sensory play, alongside scheduled feeding, rest, and nap times. Weather permitting, infants enjoy morning and evening strolls. Sign language is also incorporated into our infant curriculum.

Our Infant Room is designed with simplicity as a main focus and organized with age appropriate, non-toxic sustainable play suitable for infant play, growth and development. We want to foster an environment that is safe, nurturing and engaging for our infants.

Our bootie- or sock-only policy is one of the first things you’ll notice about our infant classroom. A shoe-free environment provides our little infants a space free from germs and dirt while they start to crawl or scoot around. Our goal is to foster a calm space that is free from clutter to allow our little ones to explore.

Weather permitting, our infants will also go out for a morning and evening stroll in our buggies.

Our Infant classroom will be capped at 9 infants with a 3:1 infant to teacher ratio. We go above what is required to make sure our infants are cared for. Due to our small classroom size our Infants can get plenty of one-on-one time with our teachers.
